How to regulate temperature during precision casting processing

2024-01-20

The processing temperature of stainless steel precision casting ensures good fluidity of the melt during the transfer process. The selection of stainless steel precision casting temperature should be determined based on the distance of transfer, cooling situation during the transfer process, alloy, specification, flow rate and other factors. Stainless steel precision casting processing The temperature is 50 to 110°C higher than the alloy liquidus temperature.

Precision casting

Stainless steel precision casting round ingots have a low crack tendency, which ensures that the alloy has good exhaust and shrinkage capabilities, creates sequential crystallization conditions, and increases density. Generally, the casting temperature is relatively high. The casting temperature for ingots with diameters above 350mm is generally 730~750℃. For small diameter ingots, due to the small size of the transition zone and good mechanical properties, the general temperature is 715~715~ 740℃. Stainless steel precision casting flat ingots have a high tendency of hot cracking, and the stainless steel precision casting temperature is correspondingly lower, generally 680~735°C.

During the stainless steel precision casting process, the temperature selection must be reasonable and do not exceed the temperature, which will cause unnecessary problems to the castings.
