How to use Urea Core in Precision Casting

2022-09-07

The characteristic of the urea core process is that a soluble urea core is used to compose the complex structure of the part's cavity, which is put into a profiling internal pressure wax for molding, and then the urea core is dissolved and lost in water at 25~30℃. After the wax model is made by this method, operations such as coating and sanding are carried out according to the general shell making process.

The formula of the urea core is 90% urea plus 10% ammonium sulphate heated in a stainless steel barrel, boiled for 5 to 10 minutes, vented out, stood still for 1 to 2 minutes, and then injected it into the urea core mold.

The production test shows that the urea core can be quickly dissolved in water, has good molding properties, the surface of the core is smooth, and the chemical stability is good, and it does not react with the mold material.

So as to play the most critical role in complex internal cavity parts.
